SCCU Routing Number & Wire Transfer Instructions
Transferring money via wire transfer to an SCCU bank account generally requires a few pieces of information. Some of that info includes things like the account holder’s name, the account number, and the SCCU routing number.
In addition, if the transfer is from an international bank it may need something called a SWIFT code. These codes allow banks in the U.S. to receive funds from international ones. This article will explain how to send and receive a wire transfer with SCCU accounts.
SCCU Routing Number & SWIFT Code
Some banks utilize more than one routing number for various tasks like wire transfers and ACH deposits. These numbers allow other financial institutions to identify the bank based on this unique number. However, SCCU does not have separate numbers for the time being. The SCCU routing number is 263177903. It can see the SCCU routing number to the left of your account number on printed checks.
SCCU does not have a SWIFT code at this time. This means they likely are not able to receive wire transfers from international banks directly. However, most large international banks do have U.S. based branches that can likely send the transfer instead. This process involves using an intermediary bank to complete the transaction.
SCCU Wire Transfer Instructions
SCCU bank customers are able to send wire transfers payable to themselves via telephone. All other transfer requests must be completed in person at a branch. To make sending easier, make sure to have the following pieces of information.
- Name, address, and phone number of recipient
- Recipient’s routing number/ABA number or SWIFT code for
- international transfers
- IBAN number (Europe transfers only)
- Key code (Mexico transfers only)
- Recipient’s account type
To receive a wire transfer, you will need to provide the sender with the following information.
- Name, address, and phone number of receiver
- Receiver’s routing number/ABA number
- Account number of the receiver
- Receiver’s account type
At this time SCCU currently does not have a SWIFT code. In order to receive funds from an international wire, they will have to be transferred to a U.S. based intermediary bank first.
Once this bank has received the funds, they can then be transferred via wire to the SCCU account using traditional wire transfer methods with the routing and account numbers.
